REASSESSMENT: –

The last one week has been about a reassessment of all my past readings, learnings and books that have come to me. The book ‘Many Lives, Many Masters’ by Brian Weiss, MD. that I had first read on the 1st of Aug 2012, almost 5 years ago, was reaching out to me.

 

I have always believed and know it beyond a shadow of doubt that “I don’t choose the books that I read, it is always the books that chose me”. When I am ready, the books appear in front of me through various means. Of course, a part of it is because of Amazon’s smart marketing. LOL

 

As I re-read the book, ‘Many Lives Many Masters’, there seemed to be new lessons, that I had missed 5 years ago.

NEW LESSONS BEGIN: –

Besides the book, ‘Many Lives Many Masters’, 3 other books reached out to me during this period.

1. The Tibetean book of the dead-Robert Thurman
2. Your Soul’s Plan- Robert Schwartz
3. Miracles Happen-Brian L Weiss MD

 

These books are about the journey of our spirt through the many lives that we have.. The body changes but not our spirt. It’s about reincarnations, past life regression and the lessons we can learn from them .

 

The key lesson to learn from all these books transpired over the weekend. On 10th Sept I had the joy and privilege of attending a Christening at Mumbai.

 

EXPERENTIAL WISDOM:

While in Mumbai I met one of my best friends, who is like my chota bhai (younger brother) and we got talking. In the last 18 months Ken (name changed) had experienced two landslide upheavels. I am not sure if anyone else could even handle it. Kudos to Ken that he not only recovered from these setbacks, he did it in style
In this context, some messages from the aforementioned books on past lives, stood out. One message said that we pre-plan the lessons that we learn in this lifetime even before we are born. Really?

 

Another message was that we have our intutive self, our best self always on the look out for our own good. This best self speaks softly. It is also referred to as our gut feeling, hunch etc.

 

This best self speaks to you at all times, if you know how to listen. It can become particularly insistent if it finds you deviating from the core learning you are to recieve in this lifetime.

 

When I asked Ken, if he heard a voice, small or a loud one for that matter, insiting that he avoid that particular situation that caused him grief ?. “Harry it was not only a voice, there were so many obstalces in my way to get what I thought I wanted” he said. In the end, Ken consciously chose to ignore his inner voice and pursued what he thought he wanted. The result was a life changing event that drastically altered his life. This event also affected all the major areas of his life, including his relationships.

 

ON JOB TRAINING:-

Now scaling down to a smaller incident on the same day though. I had an OJT by the spirit …

 

Ken and all my other friends wanted me to stay back and chill out a bit, yet I wanted to get home. I knew that if I told them that I had a confirmed ticket they would let me pass in peace LOL. As I was getting on with booking my ticket to get back to Pune, there was this tiny voice. The prompting was for me to go to the bus stop directly instead of booking the ticket. I had a sense that I could get on an earlier bus. Me being me I proceeded to book the ticket online.

 

Guess what!! The money was deducted from my account but NO ticket turned up in my email nor were the helplines reachable. So much for logical thinking eh?

 

Not withstanding, I arrived at the bus stop hoping that the bus will arrive and I will get a seat and maybe a refund. Too much to hope for right? I was way ahead of time of my scheduled bus departure, with no ticket to show for the money…

 

As I kept watching in the distance from where the bus was to make its grand entry I saw a sight that made me smile. An earlier bus headed to Pune was on its way. Of cource, I jumped in and made it home earlier than expected.

 

Oh! Lest I forget- The next day I did get a full refund for my ticket because the ticket never arrived .. Not all lessons are hunky dory..

 

CONCLUSION:-

These two lessons have firmed up my beliefs as follow

 

1.We do seem to pre- plan our lessons before taking birth in this Earth School. Each of us has a divine plan for spiritual evolution
2. Our intuitive best self is always on the lookout for us to meet our desired life’s purpose
3. When we are  quiet enough and allow the conscious mind to get out of the way,we can listen to the voice of the spirit.

 

4. Acting on our gut feelings, hunches and ESP leads us back to the path which we were meant to take.

 

5. Some lessons in life are quiet expensive, be ready to pay the price if you choose to ignore the guidence of your best self..
