Is there Power in the Spoken Word & Writing it down?
Words are powerful tools to manifest the imagination of your Mind
This blog is featured around my first book “The One Technique”.
In June 2017 I finally made up my mind to go for the publishing of the Book. Initially the date for release was early August. I was biased towards 19th August. However life had other plans and a lesson in it.
The date of 19th August became an important date to work towards. As part of the launch, various activities were planned. One such activity the #Giveathon was to conduct have 100 free life coaching sessions before the launch date.
This plan was affirmed, spoken aloud and written down as a distinct goal.
# First time- 100 Free Coaching Sessions…
I got busy with the Book Publishing preparation, which involved two to three rounds of editing along with the publisher. As I was coasting along, the publisher came back at the end of July and said that 19th August is near impossible!
Now this is where it becomes interesting. I had to choose another date. I discussed this with my wife and she said “Let the book be launched on 8th Sept” I asked her why 8th? It’s the nativity of Jesus’s Mother she said. Oh yes! 8th of Sept it was then!!
You must have heard the saying “work fills the time available.” This is a classic example – for all practical reasons, the 100 free coaching sessions should have expanded to fill into the time available and be completed by 8thSept right?
What happened? Exactly on 19th Aug 2017 the 100 free life coaching sessions were clocked. Not a day early nor late.
Lesson 1-
When you speak out your thoughts, your goals, your imagination and then write it down, you take the first step towards making it happen and bringing it into reality
#Second Time Around
Well it does not end here. My wife’s predicted day of the book launch 8th Sep has come and gone, however no book listed or published yet … So does it mean that the power of the spoken and written word is useless. If I am writing about it- it cant be useless can it?
Here is my pic with Srikanth on 8th Sep 2017 with the first printed copy of the book. Thank you Srikanth
Don’t you want to know what happened ?
The date for the listing of the book and release slipped once again. End of August we were told it could be end Sep for the first book to come out of the press. We made peace with it and chose yet another date and moved on. 8th Sept slipped out of the minds
What happened though is wonderful. I got a call from one of my launch team members in Delhi asking me to send out a printed copy of the book to one of the professors in Pune as an ARC (Advance review copy).
I asked around how I could get this print done and Srikanth, my project management mentor said I should leave it to him to get that sorted. Late in the evening that day he had made 4 beautiful copies of the book, all with the cover page, title etc. You can see it in the pic. He came over and said Hey Harry- I don’t know the exact date of your book release, but for me it is today.
He presented the 4 copies and we had a mini celebration and a round of applause among the 4 of us gathered there. It was at this time that my good friend V Shetty piped out. Hey what’s the date today? He then paused up and said – Its 8th Sep 2017!!! This was the goal we had for the book and it has taken form in this world on this day.
The day of nativity of Jesus’s mother is also the day I will remember as the day that my book first took form in this world. I had never printed the book in its entirety before this
Conclusion with Lesson 2
Reaffirmation of lesson 1- What ever you can imagine, speak out and write down, believing that it will happen- WILL happen. It maybe not exactly in the way you first imagined or it may well be. The Key is it will happen !
So, what are you waiting for- Think out loud the goals you have in mind. Write them down. Bring them on. Birth them into this world of form
Don’t forget to share your views, comments and feedback. I would like to know how you get on.
